Replacement Bee Guards Still Not Available, and 205Y Doesn't Fit By Birds in the NW

I am *mostly* happy with this product, though it does drip - I'll try again with the advice previously written about creating a vacuum. What makes me unhappy is that I cannot get any replacement bee guards, and the link that you have provided above ( does not work. It just goes to a generic bird feeder page . When I try searching your site for the 184371r, it cannot be found. Any assistance that you can provide would be most helpful.

The hummingbirds love them, and they are easy to clean and refill. By Jay

We bought these to replace similar feeders. The hummingbirds prefer these that hang on our windows over the larger ones on the shepherd's hooks out in the yard. The large opening makes it easier to clean these than our other ones. Only one season so far on these. We've yet to see how they do in the sun. Our previous ones were affected by the sunlight - the red plastic became brittle and broke easy after about 2 seasons.

great design By sue

I have used this type of feeder for at least 20 years. The beauty of it, when you unscrew the red cap at the bottom, there is a wide mouth so you can easily clean out any mold or ants that get inside. This product is wonderful.

What a pleasant way to enjoy feeding these birds! By Jean

I love the feeder and so do my hummers. I am giving these as "stocking stuffers" at Christmas and adding them to birthday presents throughout the year. My only negative comment is that the hangers are much too flimsy and I have to make my own. Each year the number of hummers I have at these feeders increases. It is so simple to fill and to clean the feeders. This feeder deserves 5 stars but the hangers are a disappointment.

Small & pricy, but hummers like it. By AzBuffaloGal

Drips some, but since most do, I give this a good rating (3.5-4). It is nice to hang with a flower basket. A little pricy at $5+ for such a small feeder, but the hummers like it and I can get it close to the window disguising it in with flowers.

Too drippy By RJ

I bought this feeder at a nearby farm store--thought it was cute and would be perfect as an addition. What I found was after filling it, about 30 minutes it was nearly empty. I only have 2-3 hummingbirds that feed so I stood there watching it to see what was going on and watched it slowly drip out. I don't know if anyone else has problem, but I can't return it. I bought, held onto it for a few weeks, and of course threw the receipt away so I can't take it back. I love Perky Pet products, but this one needs to go back to the drawing board.

We are sorry to hear about this experience and appreciate the feedback.

When the base is threaded securely to the nectar reservoir, and the feeder is turned upright quickly to create a vacuum, it should not leak. Please contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) for additional assistance. Our feeders are covered by a one year replacement warranty.

Nice feeder By Arfter

This feeder is a neat unit for small spaces and is a vast improvement over previous editions. Especially great is the bee guard which can be opened to allow thorough cleaning. The hanger is okay but should be more flexible to allow bending to prevent the unit from coming loose accidentally.

Removable guards By Dawn

Great upgrade from old one. Has removable bee guards. Would have liked sturdier wires to hold feeder. But made my own.

Terrible. No bee guard replacements By Marley

Stupid. Pp does not make any replacement bee guards for this. Bee guard falls off within a few days making this feeder useless. Think of this feeder as disposable. Good for only a few days. With no bee guard birds will not feed. 28 bucks down the drain for this poorly designed inexcusably non-event all friendly feeder. Every bee guard fell off within 3 days....that's 4 losses. Absurd that a product so simple cannot be used more than a few days. Historically these lasted a month or even two, then the bee guards deteriorated in the sun rendering this product. Useless. Don't glue it on, and glue residue will kill the birds almost immediately.
