Caterpillar Problems... Caterpillars, or worms, are the larvae of beetles, butterflies, moths and flies. They undergo a complete change, or metamorphous. They change from a worm or caterpillar to an adult that has wings and six legs. They cause the most damage on trees, vegetables, flowers and shrubs during their larvae or caterpillar stage. Some species of caterpillar, especially the gypsy moth caterpillar, can defoliate large areas. |
