Advanced Miniature Sound Technology Revealed
July 26, 2004 - Lititz, PA- Using highly advanced miniature electronic technology, Woodstream Corporation has introduced a new line of Victor® Mini Ultrasonic Rodent Repellers that are effective alternatives to poisons and trapping…and cover the same amount of room space as larger units.
The repellers – with high quality peizo ceramic speaker and sophisticated integrated circuit – effectively repel rodents. Because of their smaller size, neutral color and modern design, they are also more discreet than other units and can be easily hidden from view.
The new product line includes a four-pack of Mini Ultrasonic PestChasers , each covering an average sized room; as an extra security feature and an extra plug to keep the electric outlet free, and a Mini Ultrasonic Dual PestChaser with two speakers that rotate for optimal coverage.
The use of frequency sweep technology -- set to sweep from 32-62 KHz -- provides a non-repeating continuous concert of sound, and the integrated circuit produces a three-octave spectrum of high-low sound complexity that prevents rodent conditioning. Although smaller in size, the new units still produce sound pulsing 68 to 80 times a second at 103dB.
As with all Ultrasonic PestChasers, the new units plug directly into any electrical outlet. They are inaudible to people and non-rodent pets and do not interfere with the operation of radio, television or other electronic equipment.
Victor – manufacturer of the spring-based Victor® mousetrap for over 100 years -- is part of Woodstream Corporation. Its extensive line of pest control products, including the world’s first electronic mousetrap, is being featured in the Woodstream exhibit booth No. 23505 at the National Hardware Show in Las Vegas.
